Samsung Galaxy J3 Advantages Disadvantages and Specifications

Samsung's Galaxy J family grows with the 2015 J3, a 5-inch HD (Super AMOLED) model that maintains its siblings' mass-tier orientation. Its specs include a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD (1280 x 720) display, a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU (1.5GB RAM), and a 2600mAh battery. These are accompanied by Samsung's Smart Manager app suite, an 8-megapixel camera, and an 8GB memory expandable by up to 128GB. Black, White, and Gold are among the J3's color options.

Samsung Galaxy J3

Pros:

Acceptable radiation:

There are phones with a lower radiation rating, but 0.618 w/kg is quite acceptable, on a scale of 0 to 1.60...

It supports the wireless NFC protocol:

NFC is used by electronic payment systems and other uses.

Quad-core processor:

Not only does it clock at 1.2GHz, it's also quad-core.

Very large screen:

We're dealing with a hefty display here, making it a phablet: 5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels means about 10.68 square inches and an image quality of at least 293.58 dots per inch (DPI)!

Memory can be expanded up to128GB:

The Galaxy J3 doesn't come with an included memory card but it has a slot for up to128GB in memory expansion, which is convenient to store pictures and video clips shot with the included 8-megapixel camera.

High-resolution (8-megapixel) camera:

It includes a high-megapixel camera (8-megapixel)

Weighs less than the iPhone 6S:

Of course, it may not offer the same features as the latest iPhone (the "6S"), but since it only weighs 138 grams, it is more lightweight than the iPhone 6S (which weighs in at 143 grams).

Average front cam:

The selfie cam resolution seems just about average.

Cons or Not-so-great Features:

Ostensibly no HDMI plug:

It is all very well that the Samsung Galaxy J3 can record fancy 1920 x 1080 videos, but we're surprised we didn't find any sign of the Galaxy J3 sporting an HDMI port (which comes in handy to watch HD videos on your shiny HDTV without having to move them first to your computer).
